Clash Detection Services
When two or more elements in the design take up the same space, then those elements have a clash. Clash detection is the process of identifying clashes between different design disciplines. In traditional 2D drawings, the clash detection process was done by human and it was very time consuming and error-prone. Nowadays, BIM technologies enable automated clash detection by a software.
First, different design drawings are converted to 3D by BIM platforms (e.g. Autodesk Revit). Then different models are checked against each other for potential clashes. If a clash exists between two models (e.g. Structure vs. MEP), the software can detect the clash and show it to the user. Then the user can take appropriate actions to alter the design models and remove the clash.
We provide clash detection services to our clients. We model the Architecture, Structure, and MEP models in Autodesk Revit. Then we use Navisworks software to find clashes between different domains. Finally, we resolve clashes by changing the models in Autodesk Revit.
